1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no records of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trust, always hopes, always persevers. Love never fails.

Once again I let time slip away from me!!!

OMG where has the time gone?!?! It is already almost November and I have not updated this thing in forever. Sorry about that but you will understand why when I tell you everything that has been going on lately.

So let’s see here, where did I leave off. O yes!! Labor Day weekend! Ryan and I, Meredith C. and Tom C., my parents, and Ryan’s parents all headed down to Destin for a nice long weekend at the Beach. Ryan and I had not been to the beach since our honeymoon so it was a much needed trip. We had an amazing time relaxing in the sun and sand and at the pool. (The ocean was a little gross from the oil, but it did not damper the weekend) We eat tons of great seafood and did lots of good shopping and all together had a great family trip. We are so blessed to have such an amazing family that we are able to take trips like this all together! I can’t wait to do it again and SOON!

The rest of September seems like a huge blur to me because we had soooooo much going on. I came home to Memphis to celebrate, my best friend Meredith W’s, birthday on the weekend of the 19th. We had a great time just hanging out, going to the Cooper Young Festival, and having a great dinner with friend to celebrate her!!!

Ryan and I headed down to New Orleans/ Baton Rouge the next weekend for a little mini vacation and to see LSU vs. West Virginia. We stayed in New Orleans on Thursday night and painted the town all day and night. We had never been before so we had the best time being there with each other and it’s just another thing we can mark off our list!!! Friday afternoon we headed to Baton Rouge to prepare for the festivities on Saturday. On Saturday, we where set up and tailgating by 10 am, we had some of the most amazing food (not only at the tailgate but the whole weekend, I swear I came home 5 lbs heavier), and we had the most amazing host/hostess. Ryan’s best friend Patrick and his family are huge LSU fans and where the ones who invited us down for the weekend. We can not thank them enough for one of the most amazing weekend we have ever had. Even though the game didn’t turn out in our favor, it in no way put a dent in the fun that we had.

So the next weekend, (now we are into October) we headed home to Memphis for Meredith C’s Baby Shower that I was a host of. As you all know, I love throwing any type of shower and the minute Meredith got pregnant ideas started to fill my head of everything I wanted to do for her shower. It was such an awesome day. We had a great turn out and Meredith got soooooo much stuff for sweet Baby Lola. The food was amazing and if I do say so myself all of my ideas that had been swarming my head for months all went off without a hitch!!! I know Meredith had an amazing time and we all can not wait for Baby Lola to be here!!! (We don’t have to wait too much longer. Meredith is being induced on Oct. 29th)
So here has been the BIGGEST change in our life lately. I got a new job and it is in Memphis. This all happened very quickly and this is the biggest reason why our life has been so crazy lately. To make things short, sweet, and to the point, this is how it happened. I had applied for a job with the company Creative Co-op several months ago but never heard anything from it. Well it seems that they didn’t need me for that position but kept my resume on file. On Wednesday, September 15th I got a phone call from a random 901 number. I missed the call but they called back and it was Creative Co-op and they had a Key Account Executive position open and where interested in me. I had a phone interview with them on Friday, September 17th, a face to face interview with them on Monday, September 20th, and they offered me the job on Friday, September 24th. I put in my 2 weeks notice at AmericasMart on Monday, September 27th, moved to Memphis on Sunday, October 10th and started my first day of work at Creative Co-op as a Key Account Executive on Monday, October 11th. Whew!!!! Now if you got all of that YOU ROCK!!! I have been at my job now for a little over 2 weeks and I am loving it. Creative Co-op is a home décor and home accent wholesaler. I work with retailers like TJ Maxx, Home Goods, Marshall’s, and Gordmans. I love being back on the numbers side of things and I feel like this is a really great fit for me. Now I am sure a lot of you are wonder, What About Ryan???? Well, Ryan is still in Atlanta for now but will hopefully be able to move back to Memphis with me around the beginning of the year. SO please keep your figures crossed that he finds a job quickly so that we do not have living apart for a long period of time. I miss him so much already but I know this will be totally worth it for us in the end.

One more big thing, that probably most people know, I am training for my very first Half Marathon. I will be running the Memphis St. Jude Half Marathon on December 4th. I am so excited about this and I have been training my little but off. This past Sunday I ran my longest run yet of 6 miles with no stopping. I did it in just over an hour with I was very proud of. Now if I can keep that pace up I hope to finish the Half Marathon in about 2 hr and 30 min. I am also running is as a St. Jude Hero, so if you would like to donate to the Children at St. Jude, please CLICK HERE!!!!

Wow, this was a long one. I hope you enjoyed catching up on our lives. Hopefully I won’t let it go this long again before I do another post. We hope you are having a great fall and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

(Pictures to come, hopefully)

August- The Best Month Of Them ALL!!!!

So maybe I'm a little bias but I can't help it, too much great stuff happens in the Month of August.

1st there is my Birthday on the 9th. I was able to take sometime off from work and go home to Memphis for about 6 days to help with my dad after his bike accident and celebrate over the weekend with Friends and Family. It was a great birthday. On Saturday, Ryan and I went shopping for a little bit and then he took me to Muddy's Bake Shop and got me Birthday Cupcakes. He even got me a birthday candle so I could make a wish and blow it out. They where amazing and if you know me at all you know I can be pretty obsessive about cupcakes. Isn't he such a sweet hubby!!! He also got us Carrie Underwood ticket for when she comes to Atlanta in October. I can not wait. Saturday night, my family (Mom, Dad, Meghan, and Brian), Ryan's Family (Marcia, Tom, Meredith, and Tom C.), Meredith, Sam, Taylor, Ryan, and I all went to the Rendezvous for dinner to celebrate my birthday. I could not have been happier to have so many family and friends come out for my Birthday. After dinner, everyone but the parents hit the town. We went to a few different bars downtown and of course ended up on Beale Street. It turned out to be a great birthday even though I was not too trilled about turn the Big 2-5!!

2nd there is our Anniversary. We made it thought 1 year of marriage!!! Yahoo!!! And what an incredible 1 year it was. I always here everyone talk about hard the 1st year of marriage is, but in my opinion it was a breeze, and it might just be because Ryan and I have been together for some time now. On the day of our anniversary, we got to do a lot of fun things we had wanted to do. In the morning we went this huge farmers market that they have here in Atlanta. It was amazing. There was everything and anything you could think of there and there where a lot of things that we had never seen before. After the farmers market, we went to see Toy Story 3 at the Fox Theater. It’s really cool to see movies at the Fox because it is the old theatre and the price of the movies is way cheaper than a regular movie theatre. After the movie, we went home and got ready for dinner. We went to a place called Canoe. It was amazing. For appetizers we had Quail and for dinner I had Rabbit and Ryan had Halibut. It was not to hot outside so we got to sit out on the patio and just enjoy each others company. Canoe is on the river, so after dinner we went out and took some pictures by the river. Once we got home we, Of course, did a little champagne toast and ate the top layer of our cake, which was actually still very very good and moist. I could not have asked for a more perfect day. I have so thankful to have such an Amazing Husband and we are just so blessed in the life God has given us. (Pictures to come)

3rd and finally was Christen and Colby’s BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING!!!! It was such an amazing day and Christen looked absolutely breath taking. When to doors of the Church open and Christen and her dad where standing there I looked back to see Colby’s reaction and he just said WOW!!! Wow was right! It was the prefect reaction. The wedding ceremony was so cool. We had never been to a Greek Wedding before and there Traditions are really special. Everyone danced the night away at the reception and we had such amazing time catching up with everyone and celebrating in the Joy of Christen and Colby’s marriage.

Where Did July Go....

I feel like I blink and another month has gone by. But I'm kind of excited that July is about to be over with because we have so much to look forward to in August. My 25th Birthday (even though I'm not too excited about this birthday), Our 1 Year Anniversary, Christen and Colby's Wedding, and Will and Maggie's Wedding. It’s going to be one crazy month but totally worth it.

So July was a great month. We didn't have a whole lot going on but it was still a good one. Over 4th of July Weekend we went to Ohio/West Virginia to visit friends and family, and for the Davis Family Reunion. We left very very early on Friday morning and made it to Bridgeport, WV around lunch time. We stayed at the Frenzel's that night; they are Ryan's Parents Best Friends. We went out to the lake with them and their family and had a great time. We hadn't been to the lake in forever so it was a very nice treat and a great way to wind down after being in the car for almost 10 hours. Saturday we headed to Belpre, OH, where Ryan's grandmother lives. We got there around lunch and just enjoyed to rest of the day lying by the pool. it was very nice not having anything to do. Sunday, the 4th of July, was the day of the Family Reunion. It was great to see all of Ryan's family again because the last time we saw them was at our wedding and that was a world wind and we really didn't to get to talk to everyone like we would have wanted too. We spent pretty much the whole day in and around the pool. It was a lot of fun and everyone really enjoyed themselves. Monday we made the long trek back to Atlanta.

On July 17th, me and a few of my girl friends threw a baby shower for Julia. Thank goodness we threw it that weekend, because little did we know that she would be 2 1/2 weeks early and go into labor the next weekend. It was a great shower. We had lunch, played a few games, open an extreme amount of presents, and had some amazing cake. It was a wonderful shower and Julia and Matt got so many amazing things for Baby Ben.

Julia went into labor Friday, July 23, and Benjamin Luke Byron was born July 24th, 2010 at 2:36pm. 6 lbs. 3oz. and 19" long. He is the most beautiful baby I have ever seen. I was so honored to be able to be there on the day of his birth. He is truly a gift from God. Mom, Dad, and Baby Ben are all doing wonderful at home and are getting into the swing of their new life together. Love you 3 very very much.

So precious in the UT Hat I gave him!!!

My How Time Passes.....

I feel like I blink and it’s a new month. I can't believe that in 2 days it will already be July, where did June go????? So I guess I need to catch you up on things that have been going on.

So for Memorial Day our plans changed a little bit then what I had talked about in my pervious post. My parents came in town, which I was soooooo happy about because I knew we would be seeing them at the end of July but that is way to long for me not to see them. They got in town late Friday night, Saturday we went to the Braves game, along with my girlfriend Casey and her boyfriend Jonathan, Sunday we just relaxed all day and had a little Memorial Day Cookout, and Monday they headed back home. It was such a nice relaxing weekend I could have not asked for anything more. My parents had just finished school for the summer, so all they wanted to do was relax and not have to worry about anything which I think we accomplished very very well.

On to June, the weekend of June 12th was Susan and Matt's wedding and it was one amazing event. They got married at Tellico Lake Yacht Club out on the dock. The weather was a little hot but the day was beautiful and Susan looked amazing. The ceremony was great and you could just feel the love in the air between Matt and Susan. When Matt saw Susan for the first time walking down the aisle, the look on his face was priceless. We are so happy for them and we know they are just perfect for each other. Their reception was awesome and their band was amazing. We had such a good time and we did not want it to end. We sent them off by boat and with sparklers and they headed off to Hawaii for their honeymoon.

The weekend of June 19th, Julia and Matt Byron came in for a little visit. We were so happy to see them because Julia is pregnant and she is about 7 months along and we had not seen her in about a month and we could not wait to see how much her bump had grown. She looked amazing and I got to feel Ben kick, it was soooo cool. We spent the day at Piedmont Park with our dogs, Lulu and Putter just love when their dog Buffet comes to visit. That night we went to a Braves game and had amazing seats. We where about 20 some rows up on the third base line closest to home plate, and had access to the 755 Club. The Braves won with a walk off home run in the 9th. It was a great weekend and we can't wait to visit with Matt and Julia again soon.

In other exciting news, Ryan's Sister, Meredith, found out that they are having a Baby Girl. Yahooooooooo!!! They will name her Lola Ryan Coupe` and we can not be more excited for them. She will be here around November 2nd and that date can not get here fast enough.

This weekend we are heading up to Ohio/West Virginia for the 4th of July weekend and for a family reunion for Ryan's side of the family. We are really looked forward to this weekend and getting out of town and seeing everyone. I will update you more after the holiday and I will also add some pictures of these past events soon.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!!!!

Oh Nothing's Sweeter Than Summertime and American Honey.....

As Summer is fastly approaching I thought I would let you all know what we have planned for our not so crazy summer!!!

Kick Off To Summer: Memorial Day Weekend
We will be enjoying a nice, long, much needed weekend in Atlanta. We where going to take a Beach Trip to Destin with some friends but that all kind of fell through and we have one planned for later in the summer (which I will get into in a bit) so we where not too bummed and we need to save the money anyways. We are planning on going to Six Flags one day. It’s crazy that is it only 20 minutes away and I have only been once, with a 7 year old that I use to babysit so I didn't get to ride all the good rides since he wasn't tall enough, and Ryan has never been, but if you know what happened to him when I took him to Cedar Point in Ohio and then you probably know why he has not been. So we will see how this trip to an amusment park turns out! Just no rides that shoot you up into the sky and drop you back down and I think we will be fine!!! We are going with another couple, Heather and Kevin York (Kevin is a fraternity brother of Ryan's and we hang out with them a lot).

June:
June is going to be a pretty slow month for us, but I'm not complaining one bit!!! We have on VERY important event going on though. The Wedding of Miss Susan Towns and Mr. Matthew Hamlin. Susan was a bridesmaid in our wedding and I am lucky enough and more than honored to be a bridesmaid in their wedding. Susan is also my Big Sis in our sorority (ADPI) and the #1 Big Sis at that. We both ended up moving to Atlanta at the same time when I got my first job out of college with Macy's and the company she was working for promoted her and moved her to Atlanta. We roomed together for 2 years, up until the day I left for our Wedding. I love Susan to death, we have been through so much together, and I am so greatful to have her in my life and honored to call her one of my Best Friends. She is going to be one Gorgeous Bride and Matt is a very very lucky man to have her as his Wife!!!! We can not wait to share this very speical day with them!!!

Susan and I at our Rehersal Dinner!!!

July:
We are very much looking forward to July, because over the 4th of July weekend we will be traveling to West Virginia/ Ohio is visit Ryan's Grandmother and for the Davis Family Reunion, this is Ryan Mom's side of the family. I have not been up there in about 3 years or so and Ryan probably hasn't been up there in about 2 years, so we just can not wait for this trip. It's going to be one long drive, 6 states, 9 hours, with the puppies and all, but it will be totally worth it. We are not really sure what all is planned but we know that it will be a great trip no matter what. Another fun event happening is on the 17th, me and a few of my girlfriends are throwing a Baby Shower for Julia! Julia is the first out of our group of friends from college to get pregnant and we of course had to throw her a shower. We are in the process to doing everything for it right now and we can't wait for it to get here because it is going to be such an amazing day, full of love and joy. Also, during the last weekend in July we will be going home to Memphis to meet my sister’s husband, Brian, for the first time. As many of you know, Meghan and Brian where married last April and he was sent to Iraq in July for a year and will be back this July, so we will finally be able to meet him.

August:
August is probably the BEST month in the whole summer!!! I may be somewhat bias, but I have very good reasons for this.

First, it holds the birthday of ours truly on the 9th. Now most people know I love birthdays and I love making a big deal out of mine but I'm not too sure if I am actually looking forward to this birthday since I am turning 25 and I know that doesn't seem old to some but to me being a quarter of a century old, I'm just not too sure yet how I feel about it all yet.

Second, Ryan and I will be celebrating our 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY on the 15th!!!! Holy Crap, I can't believe in about 3 short months it will be one year. Where has the time gone? I can't wait to get the top of our cake out of the freezer and see how it taste after a year, I can't wait to try on my wedding dress again (I told myself I was going to try it on every year on our anniversary and see if it still fits, we will see how long this tradition lasts haha), I can't wait to think back of all the fun times he had together in our first year of marriage, and I can't wait to begin our journey into our second year of marriage. Now, what to get Ryan as a gift? 1st year is Paper, so if you have any suggestions send them my way!!!

One of my favs!!!

Third, Julia and Matt's Baby, Benjamin Luke Byron, is due sometime around the 11th. I just can not wait until this little bundle of joy comes into the world so that we can spoil him rotten!!!! I am really hoping that he is born just a little early on the 9th, one so that we have the same birthday and two so that his birthday is 8-9-10. I just think that would be sooooooo cute!!!!

OOO I almost forgot, the 5th is also my parent’s anniversary, I think it is 34 year, but I could be wrong. I know it's kinda bad that I don't know that, Sorry Mom and Dad!!!

We also have a wedding in August. On the 21st, Miss Christen Vavalides and Mr. Colby Flemming  will be getting married in Knoxville, TN. Christen was also a bridesmaid in our wedding and was a sorority sister of mine. We lived together our senior year, and I have so many wonderful memories with her that I would not trade for anything in the world. Christen is Greek and has a huge family, so we are looking forward to our first Big Fat Greek Wedding. We can not wait to share this very special day with them and we are so honored to have people like them in our lives. God has given Ryan and I such wonderful friends and Christen and Colby are true friends in all aspects of the word.

Ryan and I with Christen and Colby and the end of our Reception!!

Last Weekend of Summer: Labor Day
We will be Destin Bound!!!! Yahooooo!!!! Ryan and I, His Parents, My Parents, Meredith and Tom will all we going to Destin for a long weekend to end our Summer. We have rented a house and could not be more excited about this trip. My parents use to take me and my friends to Destin every year for Spring Break during High School and I have not been back since. I love Destin and can not wait to sit on the beach, soak up some sun, eat really good sea food (if the oil hasn't killed it all) and have a few cocktails. I was so excited when everyone was able to go on this trip. It is going to be the perfect way to round out the summer!!!

WOW!!! So that's it, throw in a few Braves Games here and there and I think we have a pretty good summer to look forward to!!! I hope you enjoyed this and if I left anything out I will of course update you once it happens in a later post!!!

Leaving you with my song of the Summer.... hope you Enjoy!! P.S. you will have to pause the music at the bottom of the page before you start this!!!

Baby Coupe Is On The Way....

So Ryan and I are going to be an Uncle and Aunt and we could not be more thrilled. Ryan's sister Meredith is pregnant. We found out a while ago but we are now finally allowed to talk about it!!! Meredith and Tom will be expecting there sweet bundle of joy sometime about November 2nd. They are planning on finding out the sex of the baby and they will know that around the middle of June. We can't wait to find out so we can start buying all kinds of stuff to spoil this baby rotten!!! Congrats Meredith and Tom, We are so happy for y'all!!!

The Easy Life.....

Well not in all aspects of course, but compared to this time last year our life is a breeze. I had just lost my job with Macy's and I was in the middle of planning one of the biggest days of our lives. I was traveling to Memphis almost every other weekend and was just trying to keep it all together, and not have a nervous breakdown. Last summer was a crazy, crazy summer and I loved every minute of it, but I sure am looking forward to this summer because it is just a little less hectic.

We really haven't been up to too much lately. We went home for Mother's Day Weekend since one of my very close friends from high school, Michelle, was getting married. Michelle and I danced together for about 5 years and she is probably, hands down, one of the sweets girls I know. Her wedding was beautiful and she looked stunning. I felt very honored to be there because at the reception we where talking and she told me that the whole time she was at the alter, she was so nervous, but she kept thinking of me, since at our wedding I looked so clam. I thought that was so sweet of her!!! The rest of that weekend was spent with our families. Saturday night we cooked of our Mom's over at the Taylor's house. Ryan, Meredith, Tom, and I put together a wonderful menu: Fired Green Tomatoes, Greek Salad, Wild Mushroom Risotto, and Filet Mignon. The dinner was amazing and our Mom's loved it. I was very sad to leave on Sunday, I hate when we can only make short trips home; it makes me really want to move back to Memphis so I don't have to leave our families.
Mr. & Mrs. Davis

Last weekend, we pretty much laid low on Friday night, made a little dinner, and watched a little TV. On Saturday, we went to breakfast at Ria's Blue Bird Cafe with my friend Tierney. It was so good, they have been voted by the N.Y. Times as having the World's Best Pancakes. We of course had to try them, so we got the Special which where Chocolate Chip Pancakes and boy o boy where they yummy. Totally recommend this place if you ever get the chance. Go early though cause the line can get pretty long. Saturday afternoon, we went to a food festival called Taste of the Highlands and this was probably one of the coolest things we have done since we have been in Atlanta. We got to go around and sample all this food and drinks form all these amazing restaurants in Atlanta. We got to eat and drink as much as we wanted and it was all SOOOOOOOO good. We left very very full but we did not mind one bit. Since we had had such a big day, we just spent the rest of the day/night lounging around the house. Sunday morning, Tierney and I thought that we need to work off some of the food we ate the day before and decided to hike to the top of Stone Mountain. It was very tuff, but totally worth it. The rest of Sunday we spent cleaning and getting our house back in order since we had kind of out it off for a little too long.

V-O-L-S!!! Go Vols Go!!!

So last night we went to the Big Orange Caravan, which is a dinner that the Atlanta UT Alumni Association puts on every year and the Football and Basketball head coaches come to Atlanta. It was held a Park Tavern. The food was very good and the atmosphere was ALL ORANGE!!! First up was Holly Warlick, Assistant Head Coach of the Lady Vols Basketball Team, Pat Summitt was not able to be there which was kind of a bummer, then Coach Bruce Pearl the Head Coach of the Men's Basketball Team and last but not least our new Head Football Coach of the Tennessee Vols Coach Derek Dooley. They all spoke about the past and upcoming seasons and answered some questions for us. They are all very excited about the upcoming season and are really looking forward to a great year and UT sports. At the end of the event we where able to meet the Coaches and take pictures and get their autographs. Here are a few pictures:

New Football Head Coach Derek Dooley!!
Great guy, very funny, and not to hard on the eyes!!!

Men's Basketball Head Coach Bruce Pearl!!!
So funny and a great speaker!

Our Life Has Slowed Down A Bit....Finally!!!

So it has been a little while since my last post, but there really has not been much going on in our lives. We have finally slowed down a bit, at least for now. We went home for Easter Weekend and got to enjoy a long weekend there. For the past several years we have always had to drive back to where ever on Easter Sunday and we hated it so this year we both took off Friday and Monday so that we could spend so more time with our Families. It was a great weekend. Ryan got to play golf with some of his high school buddies that he had not seen in a while and I got to hang out with a few of my friends and go shopping and get a much needed mani and pedi with my momma. Easter Sunday was a great day the weather was beautiful and we went to church with my family and then did lunch with Ryan's Family & Friends and dinner with my Family & Friends. Needless to say we where very very full at the end of the day but it was totally worth it.

Monday we left Memphis in the morning and headed back to Atlanta because we had Opening Day tickets to the Braves Baseball game. We where both very excited about this and could not wait to get home so that we could go, but of course it would not happen that easy for us. We got a flat tire on our way home. It was just AWESOME... NOT!!! Luckily is was only about 30 miles outside of Atlanta so we where able to get the spare tire put on and get back on the road and made it to the game just a little bit late. It was an awesome game, it was packed, they Won, and the best part of it all was we got to see Jason Hayward hit his very first home run on his very first pitch in the major league. We are for sure keeping our tickets for this one!!!

Last weekend was finally a weekend for us to relax. We didn't have anything that we had to do and it was such a nice feeling. We went to the Braves game on Saturday night with a bunch of our friends and then just kind of laid low of the rest of the weekend. It was HEAVEN!!!

Here are some of the Girls!!

And here are the boys!! HAHA!!

BABY BOY BYRON!!!!

One of my Very Best Friends Julia Byron (she was a bridesmaid in our wedding) and her Husband Matt found out on Thursday, March 25th that they will be having a BABY BOY!!!! We could not be happier for them and they are going to make Amazing Parents. They can not wait to bring their bundle of joy into the world sometime around the beginning of August. I’m hoping for the 9th!!!!

The beautiful Mommy-to-be!!!!!

Let Wedding Season Begin!!!

So this past weekend we headed to Knoxville for Brittany Hopper and Forrest Tuten's wedding; Brittany is one of my sorority sisters. We left Friday after work which is never fun because Atlanta traffic on a Friday night at 6 is just terrible so it always takes us way longer to get out of town then we would of course like. We didn't get to Knoxville until about 9:30-10 o'clock and once we got to my friends Sam Hauser's (were we where staying for the weekend) and got changed and ready to go, we went over to Samantha and Carson Purnell's house of a party they where having for one of our best friends Rachel Hughes. See Rachel is in Medical School in NYC and hardly ever gets to come home, so that she was able to take a break from school and come home for the weekend for the wedding was a really big deal, so we of course had to have a party.
<>My Wonderful and Beautiful Friends <>

The Men!!!!

After hanging out at the Purnell's for a while we headed downtown to the Old City and went to Sapphire's, which is this really great martini bar. Then we headed to Southbound to end the night with some dancing, which is of course our favorite thing to do. It was so nice just to be able to hang out with all of my girlfriend again. I felt like we where back in college.

Pretty Typical!!!

Love you Girls!!!

So Saturday, we got up and went to brunch with Sam and her soon to be Hubby Taylor at a great place called Cafe 4. Then after brunch we had to run some errand, then we took a nap, and then got ready for the Wedding. The wedding was beautiful and the bride was gorgeous. The ceremony was at Second Presbyterian Church and the reception was at Hunter Valley Farms. They had an awesome band and everyone had a great time. After the wedding, most of us went to Rooster's to have a few drinks and then we headed home because we had to get up early to drive back to Atlanta in the morning.

All the Guys watching the WVU vs. KY game at the reception!! HAHA!!!

ADPi's signing to the Bride

All the girls with the bride!!!

Sunday we had to wake up early so that we could get back in time to visit with my Aunt Linda and Uncle Chuck. They where passing through Atlanta on their way home from Ft. Meyers, FL; they wanted to stop to see our house, take a break from driving, and hang out for a bit. We all watched the Tennessee vs. Michigan State game. It was so nice being able to spend some time with them since we do not get to see them that often.

So It's Been A While!!!!

Life has just been a little crazy and for the past 2 weekends because Ryan and I have been out of town, so Sunday's, the day I would like to blog, has been spent traveling and then getting ready for the week. So let’s go back to March 18th:

For work I had to go to Charleston Fashion Week, because my work was a Sponsor, and I was chosen to go for a day and man our booth and I was also able to sit front row at the Fashion Show on Thursday Night. It was a really neat event. I have never been to a real fashion show before, much less sit front row, so needless to say I was kinda in Heaven. Here are a few pictures from the show, but there are more to come:

This kid was amazing, he is only 16 and he is a Hip Hop violinist. He did a performance to start off the show to Billy Jean by Michael Jackson, I was so impressed.

Some of the Crazy Fashion, but you can kind of see me on the right; I'm holding my camera up.

So on Friday I had I got to hang out in Charleston for most of the day and shop on King Street and in there open air market, which I of course Loved. If you have never been to Charleston I highly recommend it. Friday afternoon, I had to help a co-worker out with a cocktail party we had for all the press that was at the event, and then I headed on to Savannah to met Ryan for the weekend.

Ryan and I got invited, by one of his co-workers Allen, to go to Savannah for the weekend. Allen's brother Buck lives in Savannah and wanted us to come down and hang out for the weekend. You never have to ask me twice to go on a mini vacation, and it being Savannah I was of course super excited when I found out about this trip. Now let me just tell you, I was the only girl out of the 6 guys that where part of this whole weekend, just wanted to put that out there haha. We got in pretty late on Friday night but we did not let that hold us back. We got ready and headed out for the night. We went to hole in the wall bar and stayed there till ALL hours of the early morning. Now me being that nice person that I am, I was the DD for the night and lets just say it was a very very interesting night, and I had to answer a lot of questions the next morning. Pictures to come later.

On Saturday, we all got up and got a bit to eat then headed down to the River Street and City Market to do a little sightseeing, shopping, and of course get a beverage from Wet Willy's. The weather was amazing. We finally got to pull out the shorts, sundresses, and flip flops. I wish the weather could be like that forever. The boys all ended up get some cigars so we headed back to Buck's house so they could smoke them and we could all start getting ready for the night. We went to dinner at an awesome restaurant called Rocks on the River, the food was amazing and after dinner they had a roof top bar that overlooked the River that we went up to; the view was amazing and the drink where very tasty. After Rocks, we just decided to hop around from bar to bar, I think we went to about 4 or so. I lost count after a while. It was a great night and we all had a lot of fun.

On Sunday before we left to head home, we went to lunch at a restaurant called Sister's of the New South. I think this might have been some of the best food we have ever eaten and also some of the worst food for us to put into our bodies. We had fried chicken, mac n cheese, green beans, corn, broccoli and cheese casserole, corn bead, and sweet. Even thought we probably gained 5 lbs each it was totally worth it. If you ever are in Savannah, GA you have to go there. All in all, we had an amazing weekend and we can not wait to go back, and soon.

To be continued.....

Not Too Much To Report!!!

This past week not too much went on in our lives. I was in Memphis all week for a work trip. It was very nice to be home for the week and see freinds and family. Ryan could not come home with me for the week because of course he had to work, so he was in Atlanta with the puppies. That's all I've got for now, hopefully this week will be more eventful!!!!

I do however need to send out a BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY SISSY!!!!!!

Kelsey= Birmingham, Ryan= Memphis

So this past weekend Ryan and I both did some traveling. Ryan had to go home to Memphis to get his car tags renewed and his emissions tested. He took the day off and left Friday morning so that he could get to Memphis in plenty of time to wait in the awfully long lines at the emission testing place. See Memphis is really smart and they only have a few places that where you can do this, in Atlanta there are places to get your car tested on like every corner. I think Memphis has a few things to learn from Atlanta, or maybe Ryan and I should just buck up and finally get GA tags. We just can't bring ourselves to do it! Anyways, Ryan got to spend some time with his family and hang out downtown and go to Memphis Basketball Game with his Sister and Brother-in-law. He always has such a great time with them. He took both of the dogs with him, but dropped Lulu off at my parents because my mom can't get enough of that little girl.

While Ryan was in Memphis, I was in Birmingham for a girl’s weekend with 12 for my wonderful sorority sisters. In attendance was: Julia, Chelsea, Christen, Meagan, Casey, Annie, Jessica, Sarah, Stephanie, Samantha, Alissa, and me. We where so shocked that we could get that many of us together at the same time in that same place cause it is very very hard for us to do. We had a great time though. On Friday night, we went to a Mexican restaurant for dinner and had a few drinks and just caught up on each others lives. After dinner we decided to come home and play the game Apples to Apples, if you have never played this you totally should, it is so much fun, and I loved seeing what people come up with. Saturday we had lunch reservation at this cute little cafe called Olexa's. They had the most amazing chicken salad I have ever had and their desserts are to die for. After lunch, we did a little shopping around the area in cute little boutiques and home stores. I got some one really cute top and some stuff for our house. I will take some pictures once I put them all up. Saturday night for dinner, we went to a great restaurant called 26. Dinner was so much fun, I love being able to hang out with my girlfriend because we hardly get to do it anymore. We all live in different places and have very busy schedules and it is just so great that we got it to all work out that most of us could come to Birmingham this past weekend. Ladies if you read this, I had the best time ever with you this weekend, I can not wait till March when we can see each other again, I love and miss you all very much!!! PI LOVE!!!
I had to do it!!! HAHA!!!

VIVA LAS VEGAS!!!!

So this past week I got to go to VEGAS for work. I had never been to Vegas before, so when I found I was going, let me tell you I was pretty excited. Now this was not all play as some of you may think, I did work a lot over the 3 days that we where there. We where attending Magic, which is Retail Apparel Trade Show. Now as many of you know I work for AmericasMart, and we are a Retail Apparel Trade Show as well. So why would I be going to a different Trade Show? Good Question, we do this as a way to bring more vendors to our show. We go to all the different trade shows over the US, like Chicago, New York, and Dallas, to try and get more vendors to bring their apparel lines to our market, so that the buyers that attended the market at AmericasMart will have a better selection of product available to them. We had great success at the show and have a lot of new vendors interested in coming to Atlanta.

Now for the fun stuff, we arrived on Monday afternoon and checked into our rooms at Caesars Palace. We wondered around the hotel for a bit and got a bite to eat, then made our way over to the Bellagio to check out their AMAZING fountain show. I have never seen anything like this before, it was so beautiful. That night we went to dinner with all the people I work with, there where 12 of us total there for the shows. We went to an amazing steak place called Mon Ami Gabi at the Paris. I had Steak Frites, and it was so good, I could not get enough of it. We where so tired after dinner, from all the traveling and time changes, that we went to bed since we had a long day the next day.

After work and all on Tuesday, we had decided that we all wanted Sushi, so we made reservations at the place called Yellow Tail in the Bellagio. I had an awesome sushi platter that was some of the freshest I have ever had. I love it.

CELEBRITY ALERT: I had stopped in the bathroom on the way out of the restaurant and was washing my hands and all of a sudden I recognized a voice behind me. I turned around, and what would you know it was Audrina Patridge from MTV's The Hills. I was in shock, I had been saying since we got to Vegas that I wanted to see a celebrity and I got my wish. She was super nice and looks just like she does on The Hills. She also took a picture with a few of the girls I was with. For those of you that don't know who she is here is a picture.

Ok so anyways, after dinner we decided we wanted to do a little gambling, cause you can't go to Vegas and not try and win/lose some money. We started out with slots and I have decided that after playing them a few times I will never do them again because they are all a waste of money. My new game of choice is Roulette. Ryan had told me to play it and so I found a table sat and watched and the dealer and people at the table showed me how it is done and then tried my luck. I guess I am one lucky girl cause I won $70 by playing it. I think I'm a natural, so if you need any tips just let me know.

My Winnings

Since I was up $70, I was a good girl and stopped playing, we where back at Caesar by this time and we where ready to check out the night life. We went to PURE nightclub which was in the Hotel. Inside PURE is the Pussycat Dolls Lounge. They where performing that night so we wanted to check it out, cause you also can't go to Vegas without seeing some Show Girls, we had to wait a while for them but we didn't mind. They had great music playing and we where enjoying ourselves. Their performance was really pretty cool, I was a little concerned to watch something like this at first but they really are talented, I know I could pull of any of their moves.

Me with the Lead Lady

So Wednesday we had to switch hotels because we where only suppose to be staying 2 nights but our boss let us stay a 3rd because we where not able to do everything we needed to do. Caesar’s was too expensive for us to stay the 3rd night so we got rooms at the Venetian, and WOW what a hotel. This was a total upgrade from Caesars. When I walked into my room I thought I had died and gone to Heaven. It will be very hard to get me to stay any place other than the Venetian next time we go. Since, we where so tired form going out on Tuesday night that Wednesday we just wanted to go to dinner. We went to Bobby Flay's Restaurant called Mesa Grill. This was the best meal I had all week. I had steak and mash potatoes and where probably one o the BEST things I have ever eaten. I would HIGHLY recommend this if you are ever in Vegas. After dinner we wanted dessert, so we headed over to Serendipity 3, which is know for their amazing Frozen Hot Chocolates. We each toughly enjoy them and headed for bed. Thursday we finished up a few last things then headed to the airport to go home. It was a great trip, but I was for sure ready to be home.

6 MONTHS!!!!

RYAN AND I HAVE BEEN MARRIED FOR 6 MONTHS NOW AND IT HAS BEEN THE MOST WONDEFUL TIME IN OUR LIVES, WE ARE SO BLESSED!!!!!!!

Love is in the Air!!!

For Valentines Day this year, Ryan and I decided we did not want to spend a lot of money on presents and a big fancy dinner, so we thought going to a winery would be a very fun thing of us to do and something we would both enjoy. We went to a winery in North Georgia called Chateau Elan, it is about 45 minutes from Atlanta. It was beautiful because it had just snowed the night before and the place was covered, it was for sure was not an easy drive at the beginning. We really enjoyed our time there. We took a tour of the winery where they thought us how they made their wine and where able to get grapes to grow in North GA, since their soil is mainly red clay. We also got to enjoy tasting all of the wines they had to offer and we brought a few bottles back with us. Scarlet 211, which was a the red wine we liked the most, and Spring Blossom, which was one of their Muscadine wines with a strawberry flavor. It was really hard for us to decide what we liked the most, but we both knew for sure the American Port was not at the top of our list. After tasting all those wines we knew it was time for lunch, we ate a cute little Irish Pub they had on the grounds called Paddy's. We got to sit by the fire, out of the cold, and enjoy a wonderful lunch. Lunch and a few beers later, we on our way to a cooking demo that we had signed up to attend. They had an amazing show kitchen and we where able to watch the cooks prepare a great little chicken dish with a spicy coconut curry cream sauce and a really amazing salsa. We where able to taste everything at the end of the demo along with a little wine. Needless to say, we left there with very full stomachs and plenty to drink.

Note: I only have a few pictures because my camera decided it wanted to go psycho and delete all the ones I had taken before these.
