1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no records of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trust, always hopes, always persevers. Love never fails.

Oh Nothing's Sweeter Than Summertime and American Honey.....

As Summer is fastly approaching I thought I would let you all know what we have planned for our not so crazy summer!!!

Kick Off To Summer: Memorial Day Weekend
We will be enjoying a nice, long, much needed weekend in Atlanta. We where going to take a Beach Trip to Destin with some friends but that all kind of fell through and we have one planned for later in the summer (which I will get into in a bit) so we where not too bummed and we need to save the money anyways. We are planning on going to Six Flags one day. It’s crazy that is it only 20 minutes away and I have only been once, with a 7 year old that I use to babysit so I didn't get to ride all the good rides since he wasn't tall enough, and Ryan has never been, but if you know what happened to him when I took him to Cedar Point in Ohio and then you probably know why he has not been. So we will see how this trip to an amusment park turns out! Just no rides that shoot you up into the sky and drop you back down and I think we will be fine!!! We are going with another couple, Heather and Kevin York (Kevin is a fraternity brother of Ryan's and we hang out with them a lot).

June:
June is going to be a pretty slow month for us, but I'm not complaining one bit!!! We have on VERY important event going on though. The Wedding of Miss Susan Towns and Mr. Matthew Hamlin. Susan was a bridesmaid in our wedding and I am lucky enough and more than honored to be a bridesmaid in their wedding. Susan is also my Big Sis in our sorority (ADPI) and the #1 Big Sis at that. We both ended up moving to Atlanta at the same time when I got my first job out of college with Macy's and the company she was working for promoted her and moved her to Atlanta. We roomed together for 2 years, up until the day I left for our Wedding. I love Susan to death, we have been through so much together, and I am so greatful to have her in my life and honored to call her one of my Best Friends. She is going to be one Gorgeous Bride and Matt is a very very lucky man to have her as his Wife!!!! We can not wait to share this very speical day with them!!!

July:
We are very much looking forward to July, because over the 4th of July weekend we will be traveling to West Virginia/ Ohio is visit Ryan's Grandmother and for the Davis Family Reunion, this is Ryan Mom's side of the family. I have not been up there in about 3 years or so and Ryan probably hasn't been up there in about 2 years, so we just can not wait for this trip. It's going to be one long drive, 6 states, 9 hours, with the puppies and all, but it will be totally worth it. We are not really sure what all is planned but we know that it will be a great trip no matter what. Another fun event happening is on the 17th, me and a few of my girlfriends are throwing a Baby Shower for Julia! Julia is the first out of our group of friends from college to get pregnant and we of course had to throw her a shower. We are in the process to doing everything for it right now and we can't wait for it to get here because it is going to be such an amazing day, full of love and joy. Also, during the last weekend in July we will be going home to Memphis to meet my sister’s husband, Brian, for the first time. As many of you know, Meghan and Brian where married last April and he was sent to Iraq in July for a year and will be back this July, so we will finally be able to meet him.

August:
August is probably the BEST month in the whole summer!!! I may be somewhat bias, but I have very good reasons for this.

First, it holds the birthday of ours truly on the 9th. Now most people know I love birthdays and I love making a big deal out of mine but I'm not too sure if I am actually looking forward to this birthday since I am turning 25 and I know that doesn't seem old to some but to me being a quarter of a century old, I'm just not too sure yet how I feel about it all yet.

Second, Ryan and I will be celebrating our 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY on the 15th!!!! Holy Crap, I can't believe in about 3 short months it will be one year. Where has the time gone? I can't wait to get the top of our cake out of the freezer and see how it taste after a year, I can't wait to try on my wedding dress again (I told myself I was going to try it on every year on our anniversary and see if it still fits, we will see how long this tradition lasts haha), I can't wait to think back of all the fun times he had together in our first year of marriage, and I can't wait to begin our journey into our second year of marriage. Now, what to get Ryan as a gift? 1st year is Paper, so if you have any suggestions send them my way!!!

One of my favs!!!

Third, Julia and Matt's Baby, Benjamin Luke Byron, is due sometime around the 11th. I just can not wait until this little bundle of joy comes into the world so that we can spoil him rotten!!!! I am really hoping that he is born just a little early on the 9th, one so that we have the same birthday and two so that his birthday is 8-9-10. I just think that would be sooooooo cute!!!!

OOO I almost forgot, the 5th is also my parent’s anniversary, I think it is 34 year, but I could be wrong. I know it's kinda bad that I don't know that, Sorry Mom and Dad!!!

We also have a wedding in August. On the 21st, Miss Christen Vavalides and Mr. Colby Flemming  will be getting married in Knoxville, TN. Christen was also a bridesmaid in our wedding and was a sorority sister of mine. We lived together our senior year, and I have so many wonderful memories with her that I would not trade for anything in the world. Christen is Greek and has a huge family, so we are looking forward to our first Big Fat Greek Wedding. We can not wait to share this very special day with them and we are so honored to have people like them in our lives. God has given Ryan and I such wonderful friends and Christen and Colby are true friends in all aspects of the word.

Last Weekend of Summer: Labor Day
We will be Destin Bound!!!! Yahooooo!!!! Ryan and I, His Parents, My Parents, Meredith and Tom will all we going to Destin for a long weekend to end our Summer. We have rented a house and could not be more excited about this trip. My parents use to take me and my friends to Destin every year for Spring Break during High School and I have not been back since. I love Destin and can not wait to sit on the beach, soak up some sun, eat really good sea food (if the oil hasn't killed it all) and have a few cocktails. I was so excited when everyone was able to go on this trip. It is going to be the perfect way to round out the summer!!!

WOW!!! So that's it, throw in a few Braves Games here and there and I think we have a pretty good summer to look forward to!!! I hope you enjoyed this and if I left anything out I will of course update you once it happens in a later post!!!

Leaving you with my song of the Summer.... hope you Enjoy!! P.S. you will have to pause the music at the bottom of the page before you start this!!!

Baby Coupe Is On The Way....

So Ryan and I are going to be an Uncle and Aunt and we could not be more thrilled. Ryan's sister Meredith is pregnant. We found out a while ago but we are now finally allowed to talk about it!!! Meredith and Tom will be expecting there sweet bundle of joy sometime about November 2nd. They are planning on finding out the sex of the baby and they will know that around the middle of June. We can't wait to find out so we can start buying all kinds of stuff to spoil this baby rotten!!! Congrats Meredith and Tom, We are so happy for y'all!!!

The Easy Life.....

Well not in all aspects of course, but compared to this time last year our life is a breeze. I had just lost my job with Macy's and I was in the middle of planning one of the biggest days of our lives. I was traveling to Memphis almost every other weekend and was just trying to keep it all together, and not have a nervous breakdown. Last summer was a crazy, crazy summer and I loved every minute of it, but I sure am looking forward to this summer because it is just a little less hectic.

We really haven't been up to too much lately. We went home for Mother's Day Weekend since one of my very close friends from high school, Michelle, was getting married. Michelle and I danced together for about 5 years and she is probably, hands down, one of the sweets girls I know. Her wedding was beautiful and she looked stunning. I felt very honored to be there because at the reception we where talking and she told me that the whole time she was at the alter, she was so nervous, but she kept thinking of me, since at our wedding I looked so clam. I thought that was so sweet of her!!! The rest of that weekend was spent with our families. Saturday night we cooked of our Mom's over at the Taylor's house. Ryan, Meredith, Tom, and I put together a wonderful menu: Fired Green Tomatoes, Greek Salad, Wild Mushroom Risotto, and Filet Mignon. The dinner was amazing and our Mom's loved it. I was very sad to leave on Sunday, I hate when we can only make short trips home; it makes me really want to move back to Memphis so I don't have to leave our families.
Mr. & Mrs. Davis

Last weekend, we pretty much laid low on Friday night, made a little dinner, and watched a little TV. On Saturday, we went to breakfast at Ria's Blue Bird Cafe with my friend Tierney. It was so good, they have been voted by the N.Y. Times as having the World's Best Pancakes. We of course had to try them, so we got the Special which where Chocolate Chip Pancakes and boy o boy where they yummy. Totally recommend this place if you ever get the chance. Go early though cause the line can get pretty long. Saturday afternoon, we went to a food festival called Taste of the Highlands and this was probably one of the coolest things we have done since we have been in Atlanta. We got to go around and sample all this food and drinks form all these amazing restaurants in Atlanta. We got to eat and drink as much as we wanted and it was all SOOOOOOOO good. We left very very full but we did not mind one bit. Since we had had such a big day, we just spent the rest of the day/night lounging around the house. Sunday morning, Tierney and I thought that we need to work off some of the food we ate the day before and decided to hike to the top of Stone Mountain. It was very tuff, but totally worth it. The rest of Sunday we spent cleaning and getting our house back in order since we had kind of out it off for a little too long.

V-O-L-S!!! Go Vols Go!!!

So last night we went to the Big Orange Caravan, which is a dinner that the Atlanta UT Alumni Association puts on every year and the Football and Basketball head coaches come to Atlanta. It was held a Park Tavern. The food was very good and the atmosphere was ALL ORANGE!!! First up was Holly Warlick, Assistant Head Coach of the Lady Vols Basketball Team, Pat Summitt was not able to be there which was kind of a bummer, then Coach Bruce Pearl the Head Coach of the Men's Basketball Team and last but not least our new Head Football Coach of the Tennessee Vols Coach Derek Dooley. They all spoke about the past and upcoming seasons and answered some questions for us. They are all very excited about the upcoming season and are really looking forward to a great year and UT sports. At the end of the event we where able to meet the Coaches and take pictures and get their autographs. Here are a few pictures:
